after work yesterday, i headed to the AICC (arusha international conference center) to sit in on the international criminal tribunal for rwanda. in such efforts to bring the masterminds of the 1994 genocide in rwanda to justice, the UN has set up trials in arusha (due to its neutral location). visitors are allowed to sit behind a glass wall and listen to the trials via a headset, interpreted into either english or french. the trial i got to see was of a priest being prosecuted for a number of murders - however...
